SPACE AND UPPER ATMOSPHERE RESEARCH COMMISSION (SUPARCO) -13/2013

            On 16^th September 2011, to celebrate 50^th year celebrations of Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), Pakistan Post issued a Commemorative Postage Stamp of Rs. 8/= denomination.

            Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) was established on 16^th April 1961 as a committee and was granted the status of Commission in 1981. Its main function are to develop, design, fabricate and launch sounding rockets, communication satellites and earth observation satellites for various scientific and research purposes.
